A sharp intake of breath, held for 1:04 minutes.  That is what happened after I watched the clip of Andrew Zuckerman’s bird footage on New Scientist.  The video is a teaser for Bird, both a masterpiece of bird photography and a hefty addition to the coffee table.

As image-oriented as this blog is, I’m intentionally not posting any for this post out of respect for Zuckerman’s copyright.  It’s an expression of admiration, really.  Be sure to check out his site Bird.  Hopefully the images there will explain my awe, as I’m having a rough time doing so with words.
